These brush heads were a good price and delivered quickly by the supplier, with no postage costs. This is useful because Sonicare is a very expensive way to look after one's teeth, so running costs are high.
On the Sonicare brush system itself;
My dentist has confirmed that since going back to another brand of brush which scrubs rather than vibrates, my teeth are cleaner. However, my daughter has a brace and it's difficult for her to get into the nooks & crannies using a brush which needs a large movement to produce a scrubbing action. The vibration effect of the Sonicare is better in these circumstances, which is the only reason I'm still buying brush heads for it.
The high cost of the heads is at least partly because it includes a strong magnet, with stiff mountings to the brush head to reduce loss of the high frequency vibration. I haven't been able to confirm this is actually an ultrasonic brush, so does not clean in the same way as an ultrasonic cleaning tank would do. I felt mislead into believing this was ultrasonic when I bought the brush.
The magnets seem to lose strength after a few months use so even if very careful use keeps the bristles from splaying, the power is decreased by the weaker magnet, so you still need to buy frequent replacements.
However, it's strong enough to be useful for an afterlife of picking up magnetic items, such as dropped nuts & bolts, etc, if that's your bag!
